Eligibility

Engineer of the Year
Open to all practising engineers.
Must have a minimum of 20 years sector experience.
If based in Queensland must be a registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ).
Nominees based in Northern Territory are not required to be an RPEQ.

Women in Engineering
Must be a registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) if based in Queensland.
Nominees based in the Northern Territory are not required to be an RPEQ.

Public Works Professional of the Year
No age limit
Must have 5-20 years sector experience

Emerging Leader of the Year
No age limit
Work experience must be within 5 years of the commencement of a career in the industry. Open to non-engineers including supervisors, works officers, support staff and volunteers.

Team Member of the Year
Open to non-engineers including supervisors, works officers, support staff and volunteers.

Employer Awards

• Employer of the Year (Private Sector)
• Employer of the Year (Public Sector)

Eligibility

a. For project awards, the project must be completed within 18 months of the Excellence Awards Entries Closing date 29 June 2026. Project must be completed between 29 Dec 2024 – 29 June 2026.
b. Must be completed in Queensland or the Northern Territory
c. Nominations are open to anyone involved in the project including contractors, consulting firms, Local and State government agencies.
