Conditions of Entry
All entries in the IPWEA-QNT Excellence Awards are subject to conditions of entry. Submitting an entry form with the acknowledgments checked as part of the submission process, is confirmation that the entrant has read and agrees to the conditions of entry.
- The IPWEA-QNT Excellence Awards are conducted by The Institute of Public Works Engineering Australasia, Queensland and Northern Territory (IPWEA-QNT).
- The awards are open to individuals and organisations who work in the public works and engineering sector in Queensland and Northern Territory.
- To be eligible for entry into the Awards, a submission must meet the eligibility criteria.
- The entry and submission must be completed in full, providing all details and supporting documents and photography as required.
- The entrant must obtain permission from a professional photographer for the use of photos as per the photography instructions.
- Where an award has been given, and it is found that the entry has not satisfied the conditions of entry, the award may be withdrawn and returned.
- The Awards are a competition, unfortunately it isn’t possible to provide feedback on entry submissions.
- Should the entry be selected as a winner of a IPWEA-QNT Excellence Award Category, the entry submission may be eligible to be submitted into the IPWEA Australasia Excellence Awards to represent Queensland and the Northern Territory. Winners will be contacted if their category is eligible.
- If entrants choose to purchase tickets to the Excellence Awards Gala Dinner on the assumption that they will win an Award, and the entrant is not a winner, IPWEA-QNT will not refund the ticket fee.
- It is required that you have a representative attending the Gala Dinner to receive the award if successful.
- It is a condition of accepting any award that the winner agrees to be photographed, interviewed and/or filmed for use in any promotional or marketing initiative organised by IPWEA-QNT.
- IPWEA-QNT may terminate any category award without notice. If this was to eventuate, a notice would be posted on the IPWEA-QNT website. In the event of such a termination, IPWEA-QNT will not award any category award for the terminated category.
- Organisations and individuals who have not previously won, are permitted to renominate the same project or individual nomination a maximum of three times in a single category. A new entry nomination is required each year.
- IPWEA-QNT reserves the right to amend/change these conditions of entry at any time without prior notice.
Copyright
- It is a requirement that the entrant is responsible for ensuring the copyright is owned or permission has been obtained from the copyright owner to use all entry submission material (including, but not limited to, photographs and/or plans associated with the project). IPWEA-QNT takes no responsibility for any failure by the entrant to obtain the necessary authorisations.
- The entrant indemnifies IPWEA-QNT in respect of any breaches of the Copyright Act 1968 with respect to, or in connection with the Awards, including, but not limited to, material and/or information supplied by the entrant for the Awards.
Privacy
- To execute the Awards program and Gala Dinner, IPWEA-QNT must supply entry submission information (including company name, project information and photographs) to external contractors, including audio visual producers. By checking the acknowledgements and submitting an entry, the entrant agrees for their details to be provided to these external providers.
